Australians may spend more before the Black Friday sales this year despite cost of living pressures, according to logistics platform Shippit.
Shippit saw a 193 per cent surge in the average order value of automotive parts in the recent weeks. Sports and outdoor activities booked a 10 per cent increase in average order value, while garden and pool went up 11 per cent.
Shippit noted a 70 per cent increase in sales in the week before Black Friday and Cyber Monday in FY20 and FY21, and an 81 per cent rise in FY22.
The logistics platform said that such a trend may continue this year.
Last year, popular shipping items included beach towels, one piece bathing suits, picnic blankets, scoop neck shirts, mini vending machines, and wood chiseling sets.
